Gelaagdheid, verval en herstel
Ludwina schildert met acrylverf op canvas, vrij ruw, snel en direct. Daarop naait ze met naald en draad, handmatig, langzaam, bijna meditatief.
De lijnen en steken vallen niet samen met de geschilderde achtergrond maar vormen nieuwe lagen.
Door stukken canvas of doek aan elkaar te naaien accentueert ze nog meer het gelaagde.
Haar werk is kleurrijk en tactiel. Het naaiwerk zorgt voor een tastbaar reliëf.
Haar motieven zijn interesse en bezorgdheid voor de natuur, verval en herstel.
Beide werken zijn speciaal gemaakt voor de locatie en het thema. Door gebruik van felle kleuren in contrast met donkere wordt de transformatie van licht in energie voorgesteld. Organische vormen tonen het natuurlijke van het proces.

Stratification, déclin et restauration
Ludwina peint à l’acrylique sur toile, d’une manière assez brute, rapide et spontanée. Elle y coud ensuite à l’aiguille et au fil, à la main, lentement, presque de manière méditative.
Les lignes et les points ne coïncident pas avec l’arrière-plan peint, mais forment de nouvelles strates.
En cousant ensemble des morceaux de toile ou de tissu, elle accentue encore davantage l’effet de stratification.
Son travail est coloré et tactile. Les coutures apportent un relief tangible.
Ses motifs témoignent de son intérêt et de son inquiétude pour la nature, entre déclin et restauration.
Ces deux œuvres ont été spécialement conçues pour le lieu et le thème. L’utilisation de couleurs vives contrastant avec des tons sombres symbolise la transformation de la lumière en énergie. Les formes organiques soulignent le caractère naturel du processus.

Layering, decay and restoration.
Ludwina paints with acrylic paint on canvas, in a rather rough, swift and direct manner. She then sews over this with needle and thread, by hand, slowly, almost meditatively.
The lines and stitches do not merge with the painted background but form new layers.
By sewing pieces of canvas or fabric together, she further accentuates the layered effect.
Her work is colourful and tactile. The stitching creates a tangible relief.
Her motifs are an interest in and concern for nature, decay and restoration.
Both works have been specially created for the location and the theme. Through the use of bright colours in contrast to dark ones, the transformation of light into energy is represented. Organic forms highlight the naturalness of the process.
