Tekening, lasercut uit MDF-plaat
De tekening van alchemist Jan Babtista van Helmont over photosynthese was mijn vertrekpunt.
Met inspiratie van houtsneden (Masereel) en papierknipsels (Matisse) maakte ik zwart-wit tekeningen gevoed met fantasie en schetsen. (licht, water, groei…)
De tekeningen werden omgezet en uitgesneden in lasercut.

Dessin, découpe au laser sur plaque MDF
Le dessin de l’alchimiste Jan Baptista van Helmont sur la photosynthèse a été mon point de départ.
En m’inspirant des gravures sur bois (Masereel) et des papiers découpés (Matisse), j’ai créé des dessins en noir et blanc nourris par l’imaginaire et par mes esquisses (lumière, eau, croissance…).
Ces dessins ont ensuite été transposés et découpés au laser.

Drawing, laser-cut from MDF board
The drawing by the alchemist Jan Baptista van Helmont on photosynthesis was my starting point.
Inspired by woodcuts (Masereel) and paper cut-outs (Matisse), I created black-and-white drawings fuelled by imagination and sketches. (light, water, growth…)
The drawings were converted and cut out using laser cutting.
